High Efficient Outdoor Mosquito Trap

Mosquitoes are considered one of the most dangerous creatures on the earth because of their ability to spread deadly diseases. The U.S. CDC report that the insects kill more than one million people per year just through the transmission of malaria. Add to that the numbers of those sickened and killed by other mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue fever, yellow fever and West Nile virus, and it’s easy to see how they earned their dangerous reputation. In recent years the rate of infection has risen dramatically, and a growing number of scientists are now concerned that global warming will translate into an explosive growth of mosquito-borne diseases worldwide. These are some of the most prevalent diseases spread around the world by mosquito bites:6362395863482788581801720 IT04

West Nile virus

A viral infection carried in the blood of birds. Culex mosquitoes pick it by feeding on infected birds, then, after it spreads through their systems, pass it to humans through their saliva during feeding. The West Nile virus multiplies in the human blood stream and is carried to the brain, where it begins to affect the central nervous system and causes inflammation of brain tissue, known as encephalitis. If this happens, a person will develop high fever, headaches, swollen lymph nodes and stiff neck.In the most severe cases, the infection can lead to convulsions, coma and death. Even if a severely infected person survives, there is a good chance of permanent neurological damage. There is no specific treatment of West Nile virus.

Zika Virus

The Zika virus is typically transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, but it can also be spread sexually, causing the CDC to update its guidance to couples.  Aedes aegypti mosquitoes are aggressive daytime biters and officials are warning people of the need to be vigilant, cover up and reapply repellent regularly.  The Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) which is also established throughout the United States, and transmits dengue fever and Chikungunya, may also be capable of transmitting the Zika virus. There is no vaccine, treatment or cure for the disease and travelers to infected areas are being urged to prevent mosquito bites as the best and only protection against the disease.  Pregnant women are being warned against travel to countries where Zika is present because of risk to their unborn babies.

Caused by parasites, primarily Plasmodium falciparum or Plasmodium vivax. Female Anopheles mosquitoes pick up the parasites by feeding on infected humans. The parasites develop in a mosquito’s body for 10 to 18 days, then is passed on when the mosquito injects saliva while feeding.Once in the human body, malaria parasites migrate to the liver, where they grow and multiply. Eventually the parasites move into the blood stream to continue developing in red blood cells. As they multiply and are released, they destroy the blood cells.

How to get rid of mosquito bites

Many professor of mosquito had suggest people using repellents sprays that mask the skin odors most attractive to mosquitoes make it possible for people to hide in plain sight. A repellent containing DEET or another proven chemical blinds the receptors mosquitoes use to pick up on skin odors, meaning they aren’t able to locate their prey. Apply it lightly to exposed skin, avoiding cuts and sores.but the problem is that it seems lots of people has got allergy of the spray and especially is not save for the baby, especially when they are sleeping. Nevertheless , the working period of that tradition proven chemical is shot that only about 4 hours for most product in the market. So, some clever consumer has found that there still have another choice like electric outdoor mosquito trap .But the traditional uv mosquito lamp just useless and they can just catch the insects which won’t suck human’s blood. Mosquito zappers on the other hand are thought to attract mosquitos by utilizing an ultraviolet light. However, the science behind how a mosquito finds its’ next meal couldn’t be further from an UV light. Mosquitos simply are not attracted to ultraviolet light as they are attracted to plumes of carbon dioxide. People are likely to find that the great company call QM had generate at new way to defend the mosquito’s bite.Contrary to the traditional mosquito zappers; QM’s outdoor mosquito trap work by emit the C02, and an environmentally friendly octenol scent attracts mosquitos the same way they are attracted to humans. As the insect reaches the trap the upward vacuum of the trap suck them in and dry them into the little box of the device. The working principle of IT04’s CO2 emit ability is base on the tech of TIO2’s nanometer coating. And with the ray of specific wavelength UV  light on them, the any microorganism in contact with the coating surface will decomposition to CO2 and H2O and therefore, releasing a smell that attracts female mosquitoes. It’s sure that the QM’s Outdoor mosquito trap (Model IT04) is the most effective way to kill the mosquito in the market.(Reaching by Bio and mosquito specialist Doctor  tetyl ,JC)

Bought the bigger trap for the front porch and because it is doing so good a job I bought the ultralight, which is placed on the back entrance to the house. These traps speak value, no mosquitoes, no beetles, NO BUGS! I can sit on my porch at any time and not worry about getting bitten or stung. I clean the trap every Saturday and is hard to believe how many critters land inside, that’s what I call fatal attraction, by the way cleaning is easy, highly recommend the QM MOSQUITO TRAP. My neighbors are very happy!

i don’t see any mosquitoes trapped inside… yet they all swarm all over me when i stand next to QM MOSQUIITO TRAP. why are the mosquitoes attracted to me more than TRAP? that i don’t know why. hence, two stars.

This little guy love bugs and they love it too!😍 I think I am going to buy it’s big brother.

I would give this 5 stars all day honest I’ve bought so many different type of mosquito traps and stuff but nothing has worked as good as this has and it does take a couple of days before you start seeing huge number of insect inside that trap it’s self. Plus it’s really quite and small you can hardly hear it running but it works amazingly

Pretty sure this thing only attracts moths and wasps because that’s all I seem to have caught after a month of use. Tried several different areas of the backyard and still no mosquitoes. The idea is great, but hasn’t worked yet. Giving 2 stars since it’s catching wasps, which is a plus for me.

Wiped out nearly 99% of the mosquitoes living in my laundry room. All it took was one night of use. The only downside to this product is that the bulb isn’t replaceable. When this one dies, I will make sure I purchase a QM Mosquito Trap with the replaceable bulb. But the product proved itself, I am a believer.

First unit from Amazon had broken ring light but the manufacture replaced the unit. It light up now and I suppose it works OK even though I haven’t caught any bugs yet. But I haven’t been bothered by any flying insects lately either.

Works good. I thought it was battery powered, as I use it out in my yard, but I can still use it outdoors as I have an outlet. I do wish it did work by battery & could stay out in bad weather.

Has been on for 2 days and trapped about 40 bugs. Only issue I see so far is that the screen on the bottom could be a little smaller to not allow very small insects out. Great for the money!

This has worked great so far. I bought it for our screened in patio but we have been keeping it inside for the occasional mosquito that makes it inside. It caught 3 in the first two days. I like the fact it doesn’t put chemicals out into the air. I plan to buy a second one for the patio.

It arrived in two days and saved our bacon. We were both going nuts with the no-see-ums on our boat. We had been anchored out about 3/4 of a mile off shore from mango trees and completely spoiled from having no bugs. We went into a marina in Monroe County in the keys and literally got attacked. We hung the trap up and with in a couple of hours there were no more no-see-ums in our salon. I highly recommend this for any room you want cleared out of bugs.

We were having trouble with a few mosquitos getting in the house. On the first night of use this trap captured 10 mosquitos. My first thought was holy cow this thing works! Second thought, horror that we had that many mosquitos in the house.. Very happy with the product. I gave it four stars because the bulb is not replaceable. My only regret is that I wish I would have purchased a model that had the replaceable bulb option because when this bulb burns out we will have to purchase a whole QM mosquito trap.

Two months in… I have this hung under my desk at home because of mosquitoes biting my legs in the summer… That problem stopped… Along with several moths I never knew where in the house… I’d go 5 star except the price is up there… I’d would absolutely buy another for other rooms (And maybe will) if not for the price…

Works when nothing else would. I live in southern Minnesota and whenever we open our windows it seems that we would accumulate “No-Seeums” we have tried the ortho fruit with stinky juice inside and while they worked initially their effectiveness would fade as time went on. Enter the QM mosquito trap. While our accumulation of bugs is not that large in the trap we no longer find ourselves being buzzed by flocks of small bugs. Also moths have been more plentiful this year also, not to worry with the QM mosquito trap. I have seen moths, mosquitos, stink beetles and other flying bugs get lured ant captured by this trap. Very pleased with my purchase and would buy it again in a second.

I read some of the reviews and was a little sceptical. But this one was cheaper so I went with it. 1 day on my back porch/ screened in pool area in Florida were we were getting crushed because we have a little open spot for our dogs to get in and out we had over a dozen mosquitos in it all ready. And my wife accidentally dropped while it was plugged in off the mini fridge and surprisingly still worked. I guarantee this product. I usually don’t write reviews but I was shocked.
